This project transformed Findem’s complex enterprise recruiting platform into a simple, human-centered experience for non-recruiters. Our team grew the app into a new business line for Findem, achieving steady month-on-month growth with an average of 60 new activated, high-intent users per month.

Context and Challenge

Findem’s core platform is a powerful enterprise recruiting tool used by talent teams at scale. But for small and mid-sized businesses without dedicated recruiters, the platform’s complexity was a barrier. The challenge was to make Findem’s advanced capabilities accessible to non-recruiters - without losing the power that set it apart.

Approach

I led the design of Findem’s new SMB recruiting product from inception through launch, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and data science.

We began by identifying the essential outcomes SMB users needed - writing a job, discovering qualified candidates, and reaching out with confidence - and rebuilt the experience from the ground up around those moments.

Design Highlights

We reimagined job creation as a guided flow, turning technical parameters into intuitive choices. The candidate search experience was reframed around plain language rather than query-building, helping non-recruiters feel confident in their selections.

Visual clarity and consistent language became design anchors - ensuring users could move from job posting to candidate outreach without cognitive friction.

Along the way, the project introduced core net-new functionality into the product ecosystem, including:

  • AI-generated candidate summaries, helping users make faster and more informed hiring decisions.
  • AI-powered outreach, automatically crafting tailored messages to candidates.
  • Natural-language search, allowing users to describe who they were looking for in plain English instead of building complex filters.

The product was designed to be fully mobile, ensuring SMB users could hire on the go without sacrificing the depth and intelligence of Findem’s platform. These capabilities simplified the experience while extending Findem’s core intelligence into new, more intuitive forms.

Outcomes & impact

The project launched as a new business line for Findem, achieving steady month-on-month growth and averaging 60 new monthly activated, high-intent users. The product helped Findem expand its market reach and deepen its positioning as a recruiting solution that scales with company maturity.
